What is patch testing, how do I do it, and why is it recommended for your products?

Patch testing is the standard recommended before using any topical products for treatment. Patch testing allows for the discovery of unknown allergies or sensitivities to the product’s ingredients before using it. To perform a patch test, apply the product to the skin of the inner wrist or forearm and wait up to 30 minutes for signs of reaction. Discontinue use immediately if rash, irritation, or discomfort develops, and contact your healthcare professional.

What are the normal sensations or side effects when using KYA yoni washes?

Typically when using our white yoni wash you may feel slight warming, burning, or tingling sensations. This indicates the herbs are working to warm the yoni and dispel the cold that created the imbalance.

Typically when using our yellow yoni wash you may feel slight cooling, burning, or tingling sensations. This indicates the herbs are working to cool the yoni and clear the heat that created the imbalance.

Due to the function of the herbs a common side effect with both yoni washes is an increase in urination. This is completely normal.

Discontinue use immediately if rash, irritation, or discomfort develops, and contact your healthcare professional.

How do I decide between different tinctures you suggest with your washes?

The most effective way to choose the right tincture is by consulting your licensed acupuncturist or herbalist. While we offer general advice by listing common symptoms each tincture addresses, we are unable to provide a comprehensive Chinese medicine diagnosis. Virtual consultations will soon be available. Please be aware that the tinctures we offer can address a variety of symptoms beyond those listed. We have emphasized relevant symptoms for the external washes we provide to facilitate better matching.

How long do I have to take a tincture before I feel its effects?

It depends on the severity of your symptoms and the specific formula you are using. If your body has been imbalanced for a prolonged period, it might take longer to notice changes as the herbs and body need more time to restore equilibrium. In general, if your symptoms persist or worsen after a week, it could indicate that the formula or dosage is not suitable. In such cases, reaching out to your practitioner for adjustments is recommended. Following the recommended usage or guidance from your practitioner is crucial to maximize the benefits of the tincture.

If I am pregnant, can I take tinctures?

Far East Summit produces all tinctures with grain alcohol, so it's essential to exercise caution during pregnancy. Each tincture in our selection includes a warning in the product description, providing crucial details like its suitability for use during pregnancy. If you have any doubts about using a tincture, feel free to consult your practitioner or reach out to us via email.

Is it safe to take a tincture if I am on prescription or over the counter medication?

Some herbs found in tinctures could potentially interact with prescription drugs such as Warfarin. To avoid any interactions, it is important to discuss all your medications with your practitioner before using a tincture. Generally, tinctures can be consumed a few hours before or after taking prescription or over-the-counter medications to minimize the risk of interactions. Nevertheless, it is vital to seek advice from your practitioner, who has an understanding of your medical background and current medications.
