Rectification of the Meaning of Materia Medica says that "Violae Herba (zi hua di ding) is a widely-used herb specific for the treatment of swollen abscesses and deep-set toxic sores.”  When it comes to the yoni, this may present as herpes, carbuncles and furuncles.

Within our yellow formula, zi hua di ding works synergistically with pu gong ying, also known as dandelion. These two together help with heat (re) lin syndrome which closely resembles the symptoms of a UTI.

The active constituents in zi hua di ding include several phytochemicals including alkaloids, proteins, flavonoids, tannins, phenolic compounds, saponins, and sterols, as well as triterpenoids. (PMID: 31470508)

A study from 2010, demonstrated that this herb has potent bactericidal activity against gram-negative bacteria. This translates into the indications we see in Chinese Medicine of zi hua di ding’s ability to clear heat and toxicity specifically with deep-set toxic sores.

You can find this herb in our Yoni WashYellow formula.
